A full gut renovation to this luxury 707sf condo including a custom kitchen and “Smart Home” technology

Our client purchased this Rowes Wharf condo with the intention of renovating. After living there for 6-years, he decided it was time and contacted us to create a space he was proud of and would stun those who visited. The existing layout was similar but overwhelmed by dark floors, low ceilings, and oversized closets. We moved quickly through demolition, removing all of the flooring, finishes, walls, and ceilings starting with an absolute blank slate. Modifying the layout slightly to make the best use of space we decided that custom cabinetry would be the primary source of storage and eliminated all of the traditional closets.

We collaborated with Designs by Marshall for the architectural and Aimee Anderson Design for the interior finishes and furnishings.

We relocated the hot-water heater into a small closet in the bathroom and reduced its size by using a washer machine that creates its hot water. We also transferred the HVAC system to above the living room ceiling; access is accomplished by removable ceiling panels that were carefully placed to help create a center line for the island, television, and fireplace. The island was multi-purpose, it added additional counter space, an eating area and extra seating for watching the game.

The modern frameless white and walnut kitchen was handcrafted in our shop and custom built to utilize every single inch of space. The far right side houses the washer and dryer as well as the Control4 system we installed to control the entire area, including the dozen or so ceiling speakers, fold down television in the bedroom, the flush mounted TV in the living room and lighting. We featured integrated appliances in this project except for the electric Wolf conduction range.

Caesarstone White Attica flows through the kitchen with the counters with a stacked “waterfall” full-height backsplash with floating shelving (yes the lower has a channel running through the underside) and into the master shower where we have a solid wall and ceiling with an integrated shower niche.

White oak flooring flows throughout the entire condo except for the bathrooms where we install tile with a heated underlayment for those chilly mornings.

Nick and his team are very honest and hard working people. In this day and age they possess important qualities that other GC’s lack, which made a world of difference. I would highly recommend them for future projects.
